My name is Clarissa, some call me Claire and some call me Rissa, and I'm a DFW based mixed media artist and crocheter.
My life's goal is to share my art with the world in hopes that it creates positive effects within others, even it's just one person.
I've been drawing and painting ever since I've been able to pick up a tool and it's the one thing in my life that I've consistently gravitated towards. For me, creating has always felt like an itch that needs to be scratched, unavoidable and always on my mind. Through all that practice I've been able to explore all kinds of medias and styles always in hopes of creating something better than the next.
My biggest inspirations artistically would be Andy Warhol and Salvador Dali. I enjoy combining surrealism and impressionism with bold coloring blocking and texture mixing. I'd like to think that my art is a new reality that I can create and often ask myself what that would look like.
Crocheting has become a recent craft of mine as I only decided to start learning as a 2023 New Year's resolution and it has now become a huge part of my life. It's a craft that came so natural to me that I often wondered why I hadn't started sooner. I can confidently say that I can crochet anything with a pattern.
Creating with various 2D medias and fiber arts remains and will forever be my greatest passion. Being able to share my art with the world is all I could ask for in life. Thank you for visiting my page and supporting my art! 💖
